Recent research on the economics of child sexual abuse prevention interventions conclude that most interventions are likely to be investment-cost effective. However the disclosed intervention costs per person from this limited study are interesting when compared with the government funded costs of the Tautoko Tāne Aotearoa network of less than $100 per month for each of the 4,000 male survivors currently supported. Funders should appreciate that their investment in male survivor recovery programs are also effective prevention interventions.
